Schedule

Group “fun rides” occur throughout the year, and they’re a great way to get to know the coaches, team members, and ask questions. Follow us on Facebook to know when & where these “fun rides” will happen.

Practices (approx. 2 hours)

Pre-season practices begin in October with skills and trail riding. Check the team’s Facebook regularly for dates & times. GCYMBA also uses a communication app. Once you’ve been in contact with the coaches, you will be given instructions on how to join the team app for up-to-date information throughout the season.

For liability reasons, athletes must be registered to practice. A link to registration can be found toward the bottom of the ACA homepage. (select logo below)

The Season is underway! Starting January 10th, we will be practicing Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. at the UWF-Pate Road Trails, located at 11969 Pate Street, Pensacola, FL 32514.

As we move into the new year, we will also be practicing twice during the week, location & time varies based on whether you live in Northwest Florida or Coastal Alabama. Weekday practices are in the evenings. Weekday practices are highly encouraged, but if you are unable to attend you should be riding distances equivalent to your race distance. Talk with the coaches and they can more accurately give you suggested distances and workouts to complete during the week on your own.

Weekend practices are essential for skills development, cardiovascular training, and team building!

Rules & Expectations

Student-athletes, coaches, and parents must abide by the Alabama Cycling Rule Book. The Rules should be observed by students at all times when cycling and will be enforced on students participating in all ACA events, including races, trainings, camps, or any other occasion where coaches or students appear wearing ACA apparel.

Rules directed to Coaches, Parents & Guardians will be applied to all non-riders assisting or associated with a rider, and their failure to comply with the rules may cause their rider to be penalized.
